I started life as a good ol fashioned cowboy, turning in to your typical Wild Eyed Southern Boy. Somewhere along the way i grew up, but you wouldn’t know it if I shaved heh. I’m  a former a Telecommunications Market Manager. I traveled the world setting up cellular networks for cellular carriers. However I recently made a career change in to logistics.

I served in the US Army Reserves and volunteered for Active Duty, serving almost 10 years combined. I was medically discharged 2 months shy. I have been an IT Project Manager, Police Officer, Police Dispatcher, IBM Hardware Support Tech, Packard Bell Field Tech and Santa Claus in Buffalo NY because I was broke one year.

Maine born, Georgia raised, Irish family and a down home personality I am an  old fashioned, conservative, with some strange ideas about the world.  I have been blogging since 1995, previously at our sister site Techography. I interviewed once at Basils Blog, eons ago.

For starters, I have very little formal training in the computer field, everything I know came from countless nights staying awake all night in front of the wondrous glow of my new found friend….the computer.

The first computer I dabbled with was a Commodore 64….and I scripted raw code, and then as you know, things only got bigger and faster, so I had to keep up.  I kept up with tings as the times went on, and did very well.  My friends and I learned how to write web pages, also using raw code…very fun.  Soon after that, I started to dabble in hardware config, and building computers…also very fun.   So now I try my hands at this thing called blogging, so here goes…and if you don’t care for what I write, well, just remember- it could always be worse.

Then, I took a few years off, well, I didn’t take them off…..I tried to relieve this world of my presence by getting the best that the “streets” had to offer.  Needless to say, I nearly succeeded in my plan, and that landed me in the place that saved my life, called The Extension, a homeless male rehab.  That is where I met my wife, she was my counselors’ daughter, and we fell in love instantly.  I stayed there for 9 months, and today Lori and I are married, and have a brand new baby boy.  I have never been happier.

With all that said, I will never again take life for granted, and also I’d like to say that I regret nothing I have done, for it was all a plan by my higher power.  It takes what it takes to get you where you are going.  I never thought I’d be where I am at today, but I thank God that I arrived safely.
