Since somebody sent me an E-mail, which went to my phone, which woke me up from my sleep, which requested my chicken soup recipe because I posted on Facebook that I was making some, I figured what the hell. I don’t have to be a total waste of flesh today and a lot of other folks are sick and this my cure-all.

So here is my crock pot chicken soup recipe.

Enjoy!

3 lbs of boneless skinless chicken breast
1 Teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1 Tablespoon mined garlic (Not that powdered crap)
1 shot glass of Olive Oil
1 Teaspoon of sea salt
1 Teaspoon of Paprika
64 oz of water
32 oz of Chicken Broth (Yours or store bought)
1/2 cup of Bermuda onion (Mince it, dice it, what ever suits your fancy)
1/2 cup of celery (same as above)
1/2 cup of carrots (ditto)
4oz of mushrooms (one more time)
1 lb of spaghetti noodles

I cook the chicken whole. Feel free to chop it up if you want. Doesn’t really matter.

First thing that goes in to the crock pot is the olive oil. Coat the bottom of the pot with the olive oil. Then throw everything in to the pot except the noodles.

Cook all damn day on high.

When it gets close to dinner time add the noodles. Cook for about 30 to 45 minutes or until the noodles are where you want them (firm, squishy whatever)

Ta da. You have my homemade chicken soup.

Recipe ain’t all that complicated, and its a breeze to make. You may need to downsize it slightly depending on the size of your crock pot. I have a huge one, but then I cook out of it a lot.

Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going back to my couch for a while.
