Well, well, well, lookie what happened…..

I debated posting on this today, didn’t want to rub salt in my partners wounds, but then I remembered this and thought  “He would have done it”  :)

Here are the highlights:

Here it is folks. The moment we have all be waiting for. Who will sing what? Will I end up singing Glory Glory? Or will v00d3w have to cough up a version of Rocky Top? In just a few hours, the answer will be known.

When I did my first video yesterday I wasn’t really satisfied with it.

While I am far from being the Ridley Scott of Internet video’s, I do take some pride in my work, and I want it to be at least semi enjoyable to watch. It is hard to come up with video’s however when most of your clips are having to be used over and over. Contrary to popular belief there is not a wealth of footage thats usable. Once you convert it loses some of the image, when when it gets converted again it loses so more, and it doesn’t take long to become a blur instead of a nice crisp video.

That said, I felt I had to do a better job on the video. The first one, just was not up to par with what I wanted.

So here is the new video, and I hope a good improvement upon the last.

Side note if anyone has some video footage from Tennessee games they would like to share, please drop me a line at staff -at- registeredevil.com

GO VOLS! BEAT GEORGIA!

Personally, the worst fans for me have always been LSU and Arkansas fans.

LSU fans are just plain rude. Practically criminal.

Arkansas fans, are crazy. You have 50% of them who are your normal average every day fan. The other 50% are liable to hire an airplane with your name on it. Or run you out of town. Or subpoena your cellphone records.

However Georgia fans…can be…special.  Very special.

You know its bad when the school President asks the fan base to behave. So bad in fact that the school has even threatened to revoke ticket privileges.

Having only been to a handful of Georgia games I can’t vouch for UGA games and while I have nothing but disdain for UGA I love my quasi home state. However, I’ll also be the first to say that most Georgians are…passionate…of their causes.

All of this said I’m seeing more and more remarks that the Georgia fan base is..shall we say…uncouth? rude?

It for sure doesn’t help your case when other countries find you to be a rude fan base.

So help me out here Georgia fans. What do you think?

Rude? Passionate? Uncouth? All the Above?

UGA Athletics is very challenging.

It means Players coming together in difficult situations.

They must adapt. Over come. Work and struggle through trials, and tribulations.

Here are some great examples of UGA Football players attempting to help their fellow team mates and faculty.

How is that you say? Tennessee obviously has some military traditions. Their football team was once commanded by a General. The dragoon uniform worn by Tennessee regulars during the Mexican War is the current uniform worn by the color guard at UT Knoxville athletic events.

But how in the world does Georgia fit in to this equation?

(I wrote this October of Last year. Because I was working in Tennessee I got to attend the game. It was a sight to behold and a tromping unlike anything I had witnessed first hand before. What was originally supposed to have been a good game turned in to a 45 to 19 trouncing that was almost painful to watch. With Georgia barely squeezing out 240 yards the Volunteers overpowered them at 471 , 310 of which were passing as before our eyes we watched “Jonathon @!#$%^& Crompton” become “$%^&* Jonathon Crompton!?”. Enjoy!)

I got to Knoxville Friday around 18:00. Got checked in to my hotel and unpacked ready to rock and roll.

Being the glutton for punishment that I am I immediately headed for Cumberland.

The Cal Ecker Band was the live venue of the night and they rocked, absolutely rocked. I bet they played Rocky Top a half dozen time in the almost 8 hours I was in the club, with the entire room screaming the song at the tops of their lungs.

Best shirt of the night!

I partied out at The Tin Roof until about 15 till 3 am. I was pumped, tired, blitzed and psyched all at once. (I have since learned that there is a Tin Roof in Nashville, which means at some point I may have to check it out) I wandered back to my truck and drug my exhausted carcass in to my hotel room at about 03:30.

v00d3w hasn’t been posting as his usual self.

That is because via an act of selfless service he has been working behind the scenes a lot lately.

He has been perfecting a lil sumpin sumpin just for this week.

I won’t steal his thunder.

But I don’t intend to be singing a damn thing at the end of this week.

Those of you from Georgia should know whom Lewis Grizzard was. Part Atlanta Journal Constitution reporter, part story teller, part prophet, all southern. Those of you who are not acquainted with this gentleman are sorely lacking in your education.

The only flaw he ever had was being a Bulldogs fan, but I will forgive him that transgression as it was his Alma mater, and a man must stand beside their Alma mater no matter what.

I am pleased to say that the Lewis Grizzard website officially opened earlier this month, complete with online store, flash, sound clips, pictures, and a forum for those of us fans who have never ceased being fans.

If Heavens got a internet connection, I figure Lewis and Catfish and are already checking it out, sippin a Co’Cola, eatin BBQ and wonderin why someone hasn’t figured a way to get a Royal Typewriter online yet. He’s also prolly trying to figure out why his ol friend Vince let his son come to Tennessee

Here at ®Evil we like our football.
v00d3w and I are on opposite sides of the fence, he a Georgia fan, I a Tennessee.

But blood is thicker than sod so to speak, and we forgive each other our transgressions. We have known each other too long to let a football game interfere between us. (Damn near twenty years now for the record.)

Neither of our teams are doing especially well.
So How does Joe Hallenbeck tie in to this?

Never saw the movie did ya?

Welcome V00d3w to the ®Evil clan.

Vood3w, Calimus and I go wayyyyyyyyyyyyy back, to the late 1980′s.

We only recently made contact with him again, and we’re glad to know he’s alive, well and back in the fold as it were.

As such he and I have spent almost every day chit chatting via instant messenger, found our we really have not changed a lot in the 10 years we had not seen each other. We both have had our demons, we both have moved on, and we all still think about on the same lines.

With that in mind, his only flaw is his love for the Georgia Bull Dogs.

Oh well, no one is perfect :)

Give a welcome if you would, to a very old friend of mine!
