It has been what seems like one of the longest weeks I have had in eons. I am beyond looking forward to this weekend.
The idea of coming home tonight with a splash of Bushmills on ice and a Guinness to back it up is simply put, a wonderful thought.
The end is in sight. Just gotta keep plodding. So how about a little motivation to get us through the day aye?
And both to put a smile on your face, and a little secret to keep in the back of your mind when you meet folks who trying to ruin this last day of the week for you…
Critics are like eunuchs in a harem; they know how it’s done, they’ve seen it done every day, but they’re unable to do it themselves.
Now thats fine stuff indeed!
Have a good Friday!
Yes folks its finally Friday.
Time to stretch the legs and break free for the weekend.
I got a marathon weekend myself so don’t look for me to be around much
But lets get it started right anyway aye?
Now I know that was Tuesday, but lets face it. It runs damn near all week in Louisiana. So howzabout a New Orelans Street Band for our music today?
For our quote howzabout one of the kings of Jazz?
Critics have their purposes, and they’re supposed to do what they do, but sometimes they get a little carried away with what they think someone should have done, rather than concerning themselves with what they did.Duke Ellington
Been too long since we posted one of these yes? Thank Gawd its Friday!
So lets get this party rolling!
It’s also helpful to realize that this very body that we have, that’s sitting right here right now… with its aches and it pleasures… is exactly what we need to be fully human, fully awake, fully alive.
It’s TGIF ladies and gentlemen,
It’s also my last day at my current job.
Between the new job, surviving the deadly storms of last night, and just maybe a little something new to blog about, inspired by several storm-chasers and other NOAA Spotters I have networked with via Twitter, this is a good thing. A New dawn so to speak.
Lets celebrate shall we?
Change, when it comes, cracks everything open.
While everyone else is choosing shenanigans we’re going to stay on topic here. It’s Friday by God and I need some good motivation.
New Job, new stuff at home. March was a red letter month for me, so I want to sound off with something good for the day
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
And since I’m getting back on the crazy train how about something catchy that sort of sums up how I feel about things
Ya’ll be good!
It’s been a while since I have had a chance to do this so lets make it a good one shall we?
A chess genius is a human being who focuses vast, little-understood mental gifts and labors on an ultimately trivial human enterprise.
And who can forget Bill Withers and the repeated “I know I know I know…”
Given the amount of snow and cold we’ve all seen I think this one is fitting!
Ok, ya hooligans, try to get through your day, and enjoy your weekend. I’ll be be spending my Saturday at my new college campus filling out paperwork.
Here we go! We made it once again!
8 hours away until we get till we are free of the Salt Mines!
So here’s a quote, and some music to keep us motivated until that 5 o clock whistle!
The penalty for success is to be bored by the people who used to snub you.
How about Marc Cohn’s Silver Thunderbird? When I was 18 I had a Ford Thunderbird that was my pride and joy. I still miss that car.
It’s that time of week once again ladies and gentlemen!
The time where we watch the clock with anxious anticipation wanting it to run just even the tiniest bit faster than it usually does, to miraculously jump ahead 8 hours to that end of the day and the start of a weekend we all crave.
Granted for those of us whom are college football fans maybe with a little less gusto than we used to have, but anxious all the same.
So here we go! A little Thanks God It’s Friday action for us all!
Given a choice between two theories, take the one which is funnier.
And some music to help you along your way a little Motown!
That’s right kiddies. The first true weekend of the new Year is upon us
Time to party like it’s 2011
Most of the time I don’t have much fun. The rest of the time I don’t have any fun at all.
For some tunage how about the lovely and talented Lori McKenna?
Ya’ll have a good weekend!
I have such poor vision I can date anybody.
It’s that time of the week, Friday! Finally we are ready to rock and roll on out the door!
It’s also that time of year where we need to think, give and celebrate life as well as our friends.
With that frame of mine how about a girl I have a lot of respect for as a musician, Lucy Kaplansky

Excess on occasion is exhilarating. It prevents moderation from acquiring the deadening effect of a habit.

Meanwhile save some of the spiked egg nog for me will ya?
Man I thought we would never get here
This week has drug by slower than a 100 car banana train through South Georgia in June hauling pigs to slaughter while you sit in a 1970 Volkswagen at the rail-guard without an air-conditioner in rush hour.
Lets lighten the load shall we?
Power corrupts. Absolute power is kind of neat.
Now some groove tunes to get us through the day!
That’s it kids! 8 hours to the finish line! Sprint it out! Sprint it out!
Me? I’m going to get this day over with and hook up with some ol bud’s in Springfield since my other plans of going to Chicago got washed down the shitter. I got 2 Devils Weed and 2 Gurkha Cuban Legacy lined up to share with them and I think they have the beer so we should be good to go!
Adapt and overcome!
Catch ya’ll on the flip side!
Good morning ladies and gentlemen!!
It’s been one helluva week!
So lets inject some lightness in to the mix and get through!
You know you’re getting old when you stoop to tie your shoelaces and wonder what else you could do while you’re down there.
That it folks! 8 hours and counting! Lets rock!
That’s right Ladies and Gentlemen!
That time of the week when we realize we are almost done with the madness, almost complete in our grind and that soon, very very soon, we can all kick back, relax and otherwise pretend for 48 blissful hours that none of this garbage matters!
You’re alive. Do something. The directive in life, the moral imperative was so uncomplicated. It could be expressed in single words, not complete sentences. It sounded like this: Look. Listen. Choose. Act.
So c’mon now, get ready to kick up your heels! Get ready to live a little and most of all, enjoy life! Thanksgiving is almost upon us after all, so for those of us working, be thankful you got a job. For those of you not, be thankful you don’t have the long hours, merciless paperwork, and irritating bosses and we pray you join us once again soon!
Have a great Friday everyone!
How’s about a lil Southern Rock eh?
We’re there folks!
The end of the week! 8 hours of indentured servitude for a 40 hour week paycheck fantasy that we work 55 hours to have!
It’s all over at the whistle!
Early to rise and early to bed makes a male healthy and wealthy and dead.
There’s football to watch this weekend, beer to drink, cigars to smoke and deer to hunt!
So get out there and live a little!
Yes Brothers and Sisters!
It is here! In 8 hours and counting the work week is over!
We got to push on through! We got to stand tall! We got to close out this week and awake tommorow to a new day! A New Beginning!
Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life.

As always we follow our usual mix of Quotes, and Music!
For my boys in orange this weekend, and for my friends (as well as myself) who struggle with the day:
Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.
Also this coming Monday will start a new tradition here at Registered Evil. In Following with Twitters practice of Military Monday, we’ll be hosting a selection from our collection of Military *ahem* Motivational posters every Monday. We’ll also be opening up a group E-mail so you can contact me or v00d3w to submit your own posters, or to write in and ask for a topic to be covered.
On to Music!
Since Tennessee is playing Louisiana tomorrow I think some Blues is called for. I can think of nothing better than John Legend, who is more recently playing with the Hip Hop group The Roots. The game is gonna be rough, so this song should work out perfectly.
Be sure to check out their collaboration album Wake up!, it is in a word: awesome.
Almost over with boys and girls, we’re almost there. 8 hours and counting!
So lets do a little TGIF shall we?
He felt that his whole life was some kind of dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it.
And some music to get us through the day!
