It’s also my last day at my current job.
Between the new job, surviving the deadly storms of last night, and just maybe a little something new to blog about, inspired by several storm-chasers and other NOAA Spotters I have networked with via Twitter, this is a good thing. A New dawn so to speak.
It’s that time of week once again ladies and gentlemen!
The time where we watch the clock with anxious anticipation wanting it to run just even the tiniest bit faster than it usually does, to miraculously jump ahead 8 hours to that end of the day and the start of a weekend we all crave.
Granted for those of us whom are college football fans maybe with a little less gusto than we used to have, but anxious all the same.
So here we go! A little Thanks God It’s Friday action for us all!
Given a choice between two theories, take the one which is funnier.
Blore’s Razor
And some music to help you along your way a little Motown!
This week has drug by slower than a 100 car banana train through South Georgia in June hauling pigs to slaughter while you sit in a 1970 Volkswagen at the rail-guard without an air-conditioner in rush hour.
Lets lighten the load shall we?
Power corrupts. Absolute power is kind of neat.
John Lehman
Now some groove tunes to get us through the day!
That’s it kids! 8 hours to the finish line! Sprint it out! Sprint it out!
Me? I’m going to get this day over with and hook up with some ol bud’s in Springfield since my other plans of going to Chicago got washed down the shitter. I got 2 Devils Weed and 2 Gurkha Cuban Legacy lined up to share with them and I think they have the beer so we should be good to go!
That’s right Ladies and Gentlemen!
It’s Friday!
That time of the week when we realize we are almost done with the madness, almost complete in our grind and that soon, very very soon, we can all kick back, relax and otherwise pretend for 48 blissful hours that none of this garbage matters!
You’re alive. Do something. The directive in life, the moral imperative was so uncomplicated. It could be expressed in single words, not complete sentences. It sounded like this: Look. Listen. Choose. Act.
Barbara Hall
So c’mon now, get ready to kick up your heels! Get ready to live a little and most of all, enjoy life! Thanksgiving is almost upon us after all, so for those of us working, be thankful you got a job. For those of you not, be thankful you don’t have the long hours, merciless paperwork, and irritating bosses and we pray you join us once again soon!
We’re there folks!
The end of the week! 8 hours of indentured servitude for a 40 hour week paycheck fantasy that we work 55 hours to have!
It’s all over at the whistle!
Early to rise and early to bed makes a male healthy and wealthy and dead.
James Thurber
There’s football to watch this weekend, beer to drink, cigars to smoke and deer to hunt!
Yes Brothers and Sisters!
It is here! In 8 hours and counting the work week is over!
We got to push on through! We got to stand tall! We got to close out this week and awake tommorow to a new day! A New Beginning!
Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life.
Dr. David M. Burns
And of course we have to wake tomorrow to Tennessee versus Georgia! It’s a big weekend!
Ranger Coffee is my choice for high octane coffee. It'll put hair on your chest, and probably other places your not used to or expecting to have it!
